Mickeys Kids- "sumsing, sumsing years '17-'19"

Hailing from Philadelphia, Mickeys Kids are a two piece electronic unit that could fall under the guise of "experimental", "techno", "noise", "lo-fi" and so on but they are more than that. There is definitely an enchanted disorder by way of telepathy that fills the minutes within "Sumsing, sumsing '17-'19". "Sumsing" is comprised of 14 tracks compiled from two years (2017-2019) worth of practice tapes. Secrets shared among two friends (and former neighbors) that got together often in the basement of "Basilton Studio" to record straight to boombox. Dan used a GFI pedal steel, Novation K Station and Korg Minipops while Kenny Basil used a Roland MC505, Yamaha RS7000, two distortion pedals and a Tascam 4-track. Dan runs the Strange Mono charity limited press cassette label while Kenny holes up in his recently purchased Pittsburgh home and makes oatmeal pancakes.
